I made this card for my boss who just loves his coffee.
After learning a friends little girl was besotted with Minnie Mouse after a recent trip to Disneyland Paris, the theme for her card was a bit of a no-brainer.
She was over the moon with her card and just as excited to receive her first letter from the postman. Feels great to make a little girl very happy on her birthday.

One of my first orders when I set up this Facebook page was for 20 Wedding Thank You Cards. The spec was Ivory and Purple colours and butterflies. I must admit I was quite nervous making something which was so important and wanted it to be as perfect as I could possibly make it, I was worried my cards wouldn’t be good enough. After quite a few trips to Hobbycraft, The Range and Boyes trying to match purple card with purple ribbon and an ever increasing array of “not quite rights”, I finally got something that was pretty much spot on and had to deal with the fact that I was never going to get it absolutely perfectly matched. Then I set to work making the cards. And I was absolutely over the moon with how they turned out. Although not part of the spec I also decided to make a special little box to hold the cards – however, the box did get a bit damaged in transit, the cards inside arrived safe and sound. Feedback was fantastic which I was very relieved at and also very happy with. A very special touch to finish off that very special occasion.
I wasn’t able to post before now as they have just been received by the wedding guests.

I started to make this lovely lady a few months ago and ran out of brown wool for her hair. After a few months of popping into the shop only to find they still had no brown wool left, my mother in law came to the rescue with just enough brown wool to finish her off – it was a very slightly different shade but it was really hard to tell.
I love her, I love her little ballet slippers, I love her hair, I just love her. As she wasn’t quite perfect I donated her to a tombola in aid of Breast Cancer as my daughters work.

I found the pattern for this unicorn a while back in Craftseller magazine. I’ve finally got around to making it. It was actually a nice easy make and fairly quick until I got to the main which took up more yarn than I expected and was quite time consuming.
The finished article, and I may just be biased, is rather cute to say the least and she sold as soon as I posted to my facebook page – Dawn’s Handmade Cards & Gifts
I’ve been trying to make a Christmas card for each birthday card I make but it’s fallen by the wayside a little bit but I have managed to make a selection of Christmas cards. Most very easy to make, some a little bit more tricky.
Been very busy making cards, cards, and more cards. And a bit of crochet now and again.
Here’s another selection of my handy work. Can’t believe I’ve only been doing this since the New Year – feel like I’ve done so much and learnt so much. My creations have come on in leaps and bounds – when I look back at my first makes I can’t believe how basic they look.
Saw these on Pinterest so thought I’d give them a go. My Pokemon mad son has claimed the Pokeball one and will no doubt claim the other too given the chance.
Nice quick and easy to make (even for me, the slowest crocheter in the world).
